Mother's Day Presents.

I thought I'd share with you all what I made for my mommy on Mother's Day. I used some of the golden colored freshwater pearls I just received in my last shipment.

So I made her a necklace and bracelet set, using a variation on the Daisy Chain.

And then, seeing as I'm keeping some of these pearls for my own personal use, I decided to make myself a little "somethin' somethin'" too...

Since I had a nice lampwork heart kicking around, I designed this lovely piece of beadart. I find it elegant and mordern. Perfect for a girl like me! ;)

I still need to check out your Le Beadoir site...I gave it a glance, but I need to give it a lot more time than that!
Hope you had a nice Mother's Day!

I did Jen, thank you!
Now, if I recall, a certain blogging baker once told me she couldn't keep her eyes off of a certain ring....
She should send me her ring size, 'CAUSE I WANT SOME COOKIES, DARN IT!!!
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barter! I love to barter! If you ever really really need cookies, yes I do still love the ring! Just email me!
Oh, I promised you a cookie recipe, didn't I?! Give me a couple days...or remind me!
Next time I update my sidebar I'll be putting a link in for your blog, too...

...more hours in a day, please?

How does that old poem go?.....
"A womans work is never done
she works from sun to sun"
?something like that...I'll bet you know exactly what I mean!??!

Oh do I EVER know how that feels.

I am quite happy that I've decided to take a few months off of any 'structured' work this summer. My daughter will be out of school on June 30th, and that will be my last day at work. I've decided that this summer, will be a summer spent creating memories...
I just hope I survive! LMAO!!!!

Thank you Linda, both for the comment and the congrats.
It was absolutely exciting to receive that letter.

I finally have 'that' feeling... You know, the one where you finally feel recognized by your peers... Nice! ;)
I LOVE this necklace. Nice work:)

Thanks Diana.
I took a closer look at your portfolio. I love your bead embroidery. I've done only a few pieces, but it's one of the techniques I enjoy most. Especially when I'm working on something personal, like my clothing, or purses...
I'll be keeping an eye on your blog, love your work.
